Director, Corporate Engagement - Business Development (EOI)

OVERVIEW The Director, Corporate Engagement - Business Development (EOI) will serve as an expert salesperson within Year Up United’s Corporate Engagement function. The role is responsible for securing high‑quality, work‑based experiences for all Year Up United students and developing partnerships with major corporations nationwide. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Corporate Engagement – Business Development (EOI), the director will build new relationships that yield internship placements with Employers of Influence (EOI) partners, those able to take 25+ interns per cycle across three or more geographies. The ideal candidate will leverage experience in sales, strategy, and business development within a mission‑driven social enterprise. Impact will be measured by growth of EOI partners and achievement of KPIs related to lead development, presenting to C‑suite staff, closing revenue, and transitioning client relationships to colleagues. In addition, the director will coach, mentor, and advocate for students, fostering a positive educational environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES New Business Development and Relationship Management: manage a portfolio of target EOI accounts, drive external activity and top‑down sales, review personal pipeline monthly to add or remove target accounts, meet or exceed performance indicators such as number of meetings with executives per month, cross‑sell other Year Up United offerings, secure internship placements and revenue from new partners, and attend networking or industry events to acquire new leads. Create and share effective proposals featuring Year Up United’s model and past successes for solving corporate entry‑level talent needs with Employers of Influence within EOIs team. Oversee logistics related to client accounts, craft account‑specific playbooks for Corporate Engagement colleagues to run after pilot phase, and establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners. Engage with C‑level executives and decision‑makers in a variety of formal and informal settings. Site Team / Learning Community Member: coach or mentor a small number of current students, join and sometimes facilitate weekly group sessions with students, participate in staff meetings and trainings. QUALIFICATIONS At least 10+ years of professional experience in strategic account management and/or sales to enterprise‑level accounts. Consultative sales approach experience. Demonstrated ability to generate leads, close business, and manage annual sales targets of $5M+. Documented strengths in meaningful relationship building. Demonstrated ability to set direction and manage projects and processes. Strong organizational and time‑management skills with exceptional attention to detail. A professional and resourceful style with the ability to work independently and as a team player, take initiative, and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Ability to collaborate across teams, facilitate difficult conversations, and resolve issues. Ability to lead, willingness to be led, and comfort with situational leadership. Consummate networking skills with an ability to move comfortably and credibly in the community. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; familiarity with Salesforce.com helpful. SALARY RANGE $118,100 - $152,000

WORKING AT YEAR UP UNITED Starting January5,2026, employees are expected to work on‑site at least two days per week (Monday through Thursday depending on job requirements). Candidates must live and work in a state (or an approved proximate state) where Year Up United operates. For a list of eligible locations, please visit: Approved proximate states include Connecticut, Indiana, NewHampshire, NewJersey, SouthCarolina and Virginia. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Comprehensive healthcare options and dental coverage. 401(k) match for eligible participants. Earn three weeks paid vacation in the first year of employment; four weeks after initial year. This is an exempt role paid on a salaried basis.
