Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and document case details from preliminary interviews through to the conclusion of treatment, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

• Evaluate clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health to establish a clear understanding of their condition.
\n
• Develop individualized recovery and intervention plans tailored for individuals, couples, families, and groups, incorporating both therapeutic techniques and client input.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices to promote healing and personal growth.
\n
• Monitor client progress throughout treatment, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate actively with a multidisciplinary team of mental health specialists, including doctors, nurses, and social workers, on intervention strategies for holistic care.

• Follow up with external healthcare providers, such as psychiatrists, for clients who require psychiatric interventions, ensuring continuity of care.

• Educate and support family members and primary caregivers about managing related mental health challenges and fostering a supportive home environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will serve come from diverse backgrounds and face various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• Successful completion of the National Counseling Exam (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Exam (NCMHCE).

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, for effective client management and documentation.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for effective client interaction and collaboration with colleagues.

• Strong interpersonal skills paired with a compassionate and empathetic approach to counseling.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor, particularly in a telehealth capacity.

• Knowledge of and experience with various mental health conditions, including emotional disorders and addiction.

• Familiarity with best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• In-depth understanding of the effects of medications prescribed by medical professionals.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary range for this position is between USD 80,000 and 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
