Customer Account Specialist

Vaco is recruiting for a Customer Account Specialist in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a contract to hire opportunity dependent on candidate performance that offers a hybrid work environment.Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Customer Account Specialist to support end-to-end supply chain and order-to-cash activities for B2B customer accounts. This role is responsible for processing and tracking orders, managing customer inquiries, maintaining account data, and working cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure a high level of service and on-time delivery. The ideal candidate will bring strong communication skills, order management experience, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesManage assigned customer accounts and support the onboarding of new accounts Process customer orders accurately and manage order changes, inquiries, and follow-up activity Maintain customer master data and ensure account information is current and accurate Serve as a primary point of contact for customers through email, portals, CRM tools, and ERP systems Monitor order flow across multiple systems and track orders through completion Review daily reports and dashboards to ensure order accuracy and reduce processing errors Partner cross-functionally with logistics, sales, planning, operations, and finance teams to resolve issues and improve service delivery Identify process improvement opportunities and help streamline workflows Build strong customer relationships and provide responsive, professional support Maintain compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and ethical business practices QualificationsMinimum of 3 years of experience in customer service, logistics, inside sales, or a related function Experience supporting customer inquiries and order management in a B2B environment Manufacturing industry experience preferred Working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, along with CRM tools and customer portals, preferred Strong Microsoft Office skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to present information clearly and professionally Ability to collaborate effectively across departments Knowledge of Incoterms and freight terminology preferred Import/export experience is a plus Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent relevant work experience Export operations training is a plus Preferred SkillsStrong attention to detail and follow-through Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment Problem-solving mindset with a focus on customer satisfaction Comfort working with data, reports, and dashboards Continuous learning mindset and willingness to expand functional knowledge Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
