Registered Nurse - ICU Float Pool

Location: Portland, Maine

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Job Description: The position involves providing high-quality nursing care as an RN in the ICU Float Pool, including float assignments to Neuro ICU, Surgical/Trauma ICU, Cardiac ICU, and CTICU based on experience. The role requires flexibility in patient assignments, with varying patient ratios depending on unit requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective and compassionate care to critically ill patients.
• Float between various ICU units, adapting to different patient care needs.
• Maintain effective communication within the healthcare team.
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) system for documentation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of ICU experience required.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Experience in caring for basic ICU patients, including those requiring sedation, intubation, and pressors.
