Job Title: Systems Engineer III

Location: 4155 Campus Point Ct, San Diego, CA, 92121

Duration: 12 Months (Option for a 9/80 work schedule)

Pay Rate: $69.50/hr on W2

Schedule: On-site at customer facilities up to 5 days a week

Security Clearance: Active Secret DoD Security Clearance required (US citizenship required)

Certifications: DoD 8570 approved security certification (e.g., Security+) required within 90 days of hire

Key Responsibilities

• Lead system engineering, hardware, and software analysis supporting the Navy's Key Management project portfolio.

• Define, apply, and manage systems engineering processes (decomposition, allocation, verification, and validation).

• Develop System Architecture, CONOPS, and use cases using systems engineering methodologies and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).

• Lead and participate in customer meetings, working groups, and Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs).

• Research, design, write, and review technical documentation (manuals, design specs, interface requirements, user guides, and installation guides) and project briefing materials.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 8+ years of systems engineering experience.

• Core Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience in requirements decomposition and risk/uncertainty analysis.

  • Experience with database management software (MySQL, Oracle RDBMS, Microsoft SQL Server).

  • Familiarity with Linux and UNIX operating systems.

  • Knowledge of software design patterns, Agile methodologies, and complex system development methods.

  • Scripting and programming experience (Python, Perl, Ruby, and shell scripting).

  • Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP, IP, OSI models).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Preferred / Plus Skills:

  • Past experience using CAMEO .

  • Test-Driven Development (TDD) experience and familiarity with frameworks like CUCUMBER .
