Assistant Controller

ACCOUNTING MANAGER / ASSISTANT CONTROLLER – If you enjoy variety, teamwork, and a positive culture, you’ll feel right at home here! We’re looking for an Accounting Manager / Assistant Controller who is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable rolling up their sleeves. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys owning the day-to-day accounting function while also helping improve processes as the company continues to scale. You will work closely with leadership, mentor team members, and play a key role in keeping the financial operations accurate, timely, and efficient — without sacrificing nights and weekends. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ACCOUNTING MANAGER / ASSISTANT CONTROLLER Manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements Ensure GAAP compliance and maintain strong internal controls Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis Coordinate with external auditors and tax providers Identify and implement process improvements as we grow Jump in where needed — they are a team and support each other QUALIFICATIONS OF THE ACCOUNTING MANAGER / ASSISTANT CONTROLLER Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting CPA or CPA candidate 3-8 years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting and/or industry Excellent organizational and communication skills Positive attitude and team-first mindset Target salary range: $90,000 - $130,000 DOE.
