Job Title:Human Resource GeneralistReports to:PresidentLocation:Cleveland, OhioTravel Required:0-5%FLSA ClassificationSalary ExemptJD Prepared Date:July 2026Job DescriptionSummaryThe HRG will run the daily functions of Human Resources (HR), including hiring and interviewing staff, processing payroll, administering benefits and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.Responsibilities:Manages the payroll and benefits processes. Monitors best practices in compensation and benefits through research and education.Processes weekly & bi-weekly payroll and manages payroll system.Recruits and interviews qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.Conducts & acquires employee eligibility verifications.Implements and conducts onboarding and employee recognition programs.Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management.Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and creates policies and procedures to maintain compliance.Processes and tracks workers’ compensation claims.Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide development opportunities for employees.Qualifications:A minimum of 5 years of human resource management experience required.Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.Knowledge and experience using payroll software, preferably Paycom.Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, conflict resolution, verbal, and written communication skills.Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Alcon Industries, Inc., provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type as to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws. #J-18808-Ljbffr
