About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive team. The CFO will be a key leader in setting and managing the organization's financial policies and requirements. This role involves overseeing the finance department, ensuring compliance with government contracts and private grants, and managing the IT and facilities departments. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years' broad financial experience, with at least 5 years in a CFO or equivalent role, preferably within a nonprofit organization. Responsibilities include accounting and administration, finance, planning, policy, and external relations, as well as additional duties such as spearheading audits, maintaining financial records, and monitoring corporate insurance. Candidates for the CFO position at the company should have a Master's degree in finance, accounting, or business administration, with a CPA being a plus. The CFO must have a strong background in nonprofit accounting, including fund and grant accounting, and a deep understanding of government contracts. Experience in a complex nonprofit with diverse program areas and multiple funding sources is essential. The successful candidate will be a seasoned leader with excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills, and a commitment to working collaboratively with a diverse team. The role requires the ability to problem-solve, think strategically, and work with autonomy, as well as a strong sense of ownership and integrity.
