Transportation Manager

Lead and oversee transportation operations with a strong focus on safety, service, team performance, and cost efficiency. This role is responsible for managing CDL-A drivers (unionized workforce experience required), ensuring on-time deliveries, regulatory compliance, and a positive team culture while supporting overall distribution operations. Responsibilities Include: Manage and develop transportation personnel through coaching, training, performance management, and employee engagement initiatives. Promote a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company regulations. Supervise daily transportation activities to ensure accurate, timely, and cost-effective deliveries. Monitor operational performance, resolve delivery issues, and implement process improvements to increase efficiency. Support recruiting, hiring, scheduling, and retention efforts for transportation team members. Investigate accidents, maintain required documentation, and lead safety meetings and training programs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional customer service and operational results. Qualifications: 3+ years of transportation, logistics, delivery, or distribution operations experience. 1+ year of leadership or supervisory experience.
