Overview What does a Speech and Language Pathologist do? At The Arc Lexington, our Speech and Language Pathologists (SLPs) are leaders, educators, and advocates who evaluate and treat communication and swallowing disorders and empower others by sharing expertise with staff across programs. Through guidance, training, and compassionate care, you help ensure that every person we support can express themselves, connect with others, and thrive. Responsibilities Evaluate and treat communication and swallowing disorders. Empower staff across programs by sharing expertise through guidance and training. Provide compassionate care to help individuals express themselves and engage with others. Qualifications Master\'s degree in Speech/Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Current license to practice as an SLP in the State of New York or be a current Clinical Fellow working toward completed certification. One year experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred. Must have a valid NYS driver\'s license and have own transportation.
