We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team in Greensboro, NC. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting functions, maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with month-end close activities, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced business environment. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and general ledger activity.
• Analyze financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting policies.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
• Prepare financial reports and assist with management reporting requirements.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation.
• Support internal and external audits by gathering requested information and schedules.
• Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and company policies.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
• Support special projects and other accounting duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ERP or accounting software systems.
• Manufacturing, distribution, or corporate accounting experience.
• Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations.

Pay Details: $30.00 to $34.00 per hour
