Sourdough & Co. is a fast-casual restaurant known for artisan sandwiches served on authentic San Francisco sourdough bread. Our Progress Ridge Townsquare restaurant is the first Portland metro location and is locally owned and operated. We are passionate about great food, genuine hospitality, and building a team-oriented restaurant that positively impacts both guests and the local community.

We are looking for a reliable, collaborative Shift Lead who leads by example, works alongside the team, and helps create a positive and consistent guest experience during every shift. This is a hands-on operational role focused on supporting daily restaurant flow, maintaining food quality and cleanliness standards, and helping create a restaurant that runs smoothly, cleanly, and consistently. Shift Leads are expected to jump into any station as needed, support team members, and help keep shifts running smoothly during periods when a manager is not on duty.

What You’ll Do

• Support day-to-day restaurant operations during assigned shifts
• Help maintain food quality, cleanliness, organization, and guest experience standards
• Assist with opening and closing responsibilities
• Jump into any station as needed to support shift flow and team efficiency
• Help reinforce food safety, workplace safety, and operational standards
• Support onboarding and training of new team members
• Assist with stocking, prep, inventory organization, and other operational tasks
• Communicate operational issues or guest concerns to management as needed

What We’re Looking For

This role may be structured as either full-time or part-time depending on candidate availability, experience, and operational needs. Flexibility in scheduling and availability is highly valued, particularly during the restaurant’s opening and early growth period.

• 1–2 years of restaurant or shift leadership experience preferred
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude
• Ability to stay calm, organized, and solution-oriented in a fast-paced environment
• Hands-on mentality with a willingness to help wherever needed
• Reliable, accountable, and team-oriented approach to work
• Comfortable using restaurant technology, scheduling systems, and digital tools
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Applicants must possess or be able to obtain a valid Oregon Food Handler Card before beginning work
