Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and automated production equipment.
• Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement effective repairs to minimize downtime.
• Perform preventive maintenance and equipment inspections to improve reliability and performance.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems, controls, sensors, motors, and related components.
• Use PLCs to diagnose equipment faults and support troubleshooting; PLC programming is not required.
• Perform welding and mechanical repairs as needed.
• Support the maintenance and reliability of production, processing, and packaging equipment.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance team members to resolve equipment issues quickly.
• Follow established safety procedures, food safety standards, and maintenance practices.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance, reliability, and overall plant efficiency.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

• 2+ years of food manufacturing maintenance experience OR 5+ years of maintenance experience in other manufacturing environments.
• Strong hands-on mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Required experience troubleshooting electrical systems.
• Required welding experience.
• PLC troubleshooting experience; programming is not required.
• Experience working with hydraulics and automated production equipment.
• Ability to diagnose equipment problems, determine the appropriate repair, and restore production efficiently.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, hands-on approach to maintenance.

Additional experience with any of the following is a plus:

• Boilers and HVAC systems
• Clean-in-place (CIP) systems
• Wastewater systems
• Spiral freezers
• Flow wrappers
• Cartoning and packaging equipment
• Other food processing and automated production systems

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay: $30$40 per hour, based on experience.
• Shift: Nights, 5:00 PM5:00 AM.
• Schedule: Rotating 2-2-3 schedule.
• Predictability: Schedule published well in advance to help you plan your time outside of work.
