Johnson & Johnson seeks a Data Platform Manager to lead strategy, architecture, and engineering standards for a modern data platform supporting analytics and AI across the Orthopedics business. The role combines strategic platform ownership with hands-on technical leadership, vendor management, and cross-functional partnership.
Responsibilities
- Own data platform strategy, architecture, roadmap, and measurable outcomes
- Design and evolve a scalable Databricks lakehouse with reusable data products
- Build metadata-driven ingestion and pipeline frameworks supporting batch and streaming
- Establish platform engineering standards for code quality, testing, CI/CD, and security
- Implement data governance framework embedding ownership, quality, and lineage controls
Requirements
- Experience designing and implementing scalable data platforms and lakehouse architectures
- Proficiency with Databricks, cloud services, and medallion architecture patterns
- Strong background in data engineering, including ingestion frameworks and pipeline orchestration
- Demonstrated ability to establish governance frameworks and data quality standards
- Experience leading technical teams and managing vendor relationships
- Knowledge of data observability, monitoring, and operational governance practices
