Automotive Technician
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with expertise in various systems including powertrain and electrical systems. This role requires a commitment to providing excellent customer service while ensuring that vehicles are repaired efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on a variety of vehicles, including both gasoline and diesel engines.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on automotive systems, including powertrain, electrical systems, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete repairs.
- Interpret automotive schematics to assist in diagnosing issues accurately.
- Provide customers with clear explanations of repair needs and recommendations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while maintaining high-quality standards.
Skills
- Proficiency in working with automotive electrical systems, including the ability to read schematics.
- Experience with diesel engine repair is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with auto estimating processes for accurate job costing.
- Strong skills in using hand tools and power tools relevant to automotive repair.
- Knowledge of powertrain systems and their components.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn new techniques and technologies in the automotive field.
