Title: AI Product Engineer Job Type: Contract Contract Length: 12-months Pay Range: $50/hr – $175/hr Start Date: ASAP Location: Remote About the Opportunity Our client, a leader in AI product testing, is looking for a skilled AI Product Engineer to join their team for a 12-month engagement. This project involves building the crucial front-end user experiences and optimizing the performance and quality of Generative AI features. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly. Key Responsibilities & Deliverables This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include: Building the "connective tissue" between front-end user experiences and backend AI model outputs. Developing intuitive AI-driven UI components (streaming chat, interactive citations, multi-modal uploads). Managing the prompt engineering lifecycle to ensure product features deliver accurate and high-quality AI responses. Optimizing the "Time to First Token" (TTFT) and overall user-perceived latency for AI features. Rapidly iterating on AI product prototypes based on user feedback and internal testing. Required Skills & Experience We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have: 3+ years of experience in Full-stack development with a focus on AI integration. Deep expertise in React.js, Node.js/Python, and OpenAI/Anthropic APIs. This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals. Experience with modern CSS frameworks, Git, and collaborative design tools like Figma. Strong communication skills to provide clear and concise status updates to the project team. #J-18808-Ljbffr
