Position Profile

LIX Pet Wellness is seeking a collaborative, relationship-oriented Territory Sales Manager to support our continued growth, with a focus on managing and growing our two existing distribution partnership territories. This individual will grow sales, strengthen retailer relationships, develop new wholesale partnerships, and expand our retail presence. Key responsibilities include educating retail partners about our brand and products, building brand awareness, and driving product visibility and sell-through.

The ideal candidate is passionate about pet wellness, understands the independent pet retail landscape, and excels at building lasting relationships. They will work closely with the broader team to execute sales initiatives, support sustainable growth, and contribute to the company’s leadership and strategic direction.

Territory & Location: This is a remote, home-office-based position. Candidates must reside within one of the following territories:

• Territory 1: Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, and designated areas of Pennsylvania.
• Territory 2: Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Connecticut, West Virginia, New York, and Virginia.

The role requires travel 50% of the time throughout the assigned territory, with quarterly visits to the company’s home office.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Retailer Relationship Management: Build, strengthen, and grow relationships with existing retail partners while identifying opportunities to expand product placement and sales.
• Distributor Management: Manage and develop relationships with our two current distribution partners’ sales teams, supporting sales growth, communication, and alignment with company goals.
• Wholesale Sales Growth: Identify new retail opportunities and support the expansion of our wholesale business across the East Coast.
• Brand Education & Awareness: Educate retailers and distribution partners on our brand, products, and key differentiators to increase awareness, engagement, and sell-through.
• Account Support: Provide retail partners with the resources, product knowledge, and ongoing support needed to successfully represent and grow the brand.
• Sales Strategy & Execution: Collaborate with the team to develop and execute sales initiatives, identify growth opportunities, and achieve wholesale sales goals.
• Market Insights: Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and retailer feedback to help inform sales, marketing, and product strategies.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to align sales efforts, strengthen brand positioning, and support company-wide initiatives.
• Company Leadership: Contribute to the leadership and strategic direction of the company by sharing market insights, identifying opportunities, and helping shape priorities for continued growth.
• Sales Reporting & Forecasting: Track account performance, monitor sales trends, and provide regular updates on progress, opportunities, and challenges.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in wholesale sales, account management, or retail partnerships, preferably in the pet, wellness, natural products, or consumer goods industry.
• Experience building and maintaining strong relationships with independent retailers, retail buyers, and distribution partners.
• Proven ability to meet or exceed sales quotas, achieve revenue targets, and grow accounts through relationship-driven sales strategies.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to educate partners on brand values, product benefits, and key differentiators.
• Experience managing distributor relationships, including account communication, sales support, and ongoing business development.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently, manage time effectively, prioritize responsibilities, and stay accountable for results in a remote, field-based environment.
• A collaborative, team-oriented approach with the ability to work cross-functionally and contribute to broader company goals and strategic planning.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities effectively.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% throughout the East Coast territory, including retail visits, industry events, and quarterly home-office visits.
• Passion for pet wellness, natural products, and educating others about pet health and well-being.

Compensation:

Salary: $65,000-$75,000 DOE + Commission
