How You Will Contribute

The Registered Dietitian will work closely with the Executive Director, Clinical Director, and our onsite full-time Registered Dietitian to provide dietary services for Aster Springs. This includes providing groups, education, food challenges, and input to dietary policy/procedures. Demonstrate a desire and willingness to embrace and model the Aster Springs mission within your job responsibilities and interaction with others.

This position involves a hybrid work schedule, with approximately 60% of duties performed in person at our Dublin, OH location, and 40% conducted virtually from home. The Registered Dietitian will be responsible for running one evening of virtual Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) programming and conducting individual virtual IOP client sessions weekly.

Relationships and Contacts

Within the organization: Maintains frequent and close working relationships with clients, Executive Director, fellow RDs, Nursing, Medical, Therapists, peers, and vendors.

Outside the organization: May initiate and maintain working relationships with clinical providers, referral partners, and vendors as needed and directed.

Essential Responsibilities

• Conduct individual sessions with a case load of virtual IOP clients and in-person IOP and PHP clients one time per week
• Engage with client families during family week as needed
• Lead one evening of virtual IOP programming
• Lead cooking and nutrition groups weekly
• Facilitate therapeutic meals and snacks with clients
• Assist with oversight of nutritional content and accuracy
• Determine and monitor caloric intake for clients
• Provide nutritional education to clients and staff
• Work with clients and staff to coordinate discharge menus and meal plans
• Collect, review, and approve weekly client menus
• Collaborate closely with the Executive Director and other RDs on all dietary policies and procedures
• Determine and monitor appropriate weight for clients
• Coordinate discharge planning, including identification and coordination of care with outpatient dietitians
• Assist with preparation of staff and kitchen to comply with infection control policies and all accrediting body visits

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major in nutrition/dietetics or a related field; Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration; 1-year or more of clinical experience with eating disorders strongly preferred; 1 plus years' experience in health-care setting, Ohio Certified Dietitian preferred.
