We are seeking a skilled Manual Lathe Machinist to join our manufacturing team. This role involves operating manual lathes and CNC lathes to produce precision components according to detailed blueprints and specifications.

The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with precision measuring instruments, and experience in machining various materials, including plastics and metals. Job Overview:
Perform high quality machining work without supervision according to the required technical specifications and production standards.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Follow relevant MTTM procedures and the MTTM Quality Policy
• Adhere to all Safety Policies established by Mi-Tech Tungsten Metals, LLC.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and technical documentation
• Strong knowledge of machine tools and machining operations
• Knowledge of measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gages, indicators, comparators)
• Ability to coordinate and oversee complex machining operations
• Physical strength, manual dexterity, and precise hand/eye coordination
• Precision and attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to indicate vises and work pieces
• Ability to set machine heads, sweep table, change chucks on lathes.
• Complete additional duties as assigned by MTTM management

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 2-5 years' experience in manual machining
• Better than average mathematical abilities
• Related experience in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Precision and attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Journeyman training and certifications.
• Crane training and rigging

Physical Requirements:

• Satisfy and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative productivity and quality standards.
• Maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Communicate effectively.
