Our US and Canada Market Company, with headquarters in Denton, Texas, includes more than 1,600 team members who work each day to help make food safe and available, everywhere.An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Senior Legal Counsel to join our Legal Affairs team, supporting our US and Canada Market Company activities and units, including in relation to commercial practices, innovation, sustainability and IPR. You will also be part of the US and Canada Market Leadership Team.The Tetra Pak Legal Affairs unit contributes to a profitable and sustainable business by anticipating and resolving legal issues, protecting innovation and our brands, and promoting good governance. It is headed by the Tetra Pak Group Executive Vice President and General Counsel, who leads a global team of more than 90 world-class lawyers, patent and trademark attorneys, corporate governance and risk management, and export control professionals.This position is based in Denton, Texas. You will report to the Vice President Legal Affairs Markets Americas. Some domestic and international travel may be required but is very limited.Tetra Pak is not considering applications (internal or external) that require international relocation to the US.What you will doThis position will give you direct access to our US and Canada business teams, with whom you will be working closely, and will get you to the heart of Tetra Pak US and Canada’s business operations. You will also be interacting with our Legal Affairs colleagues from the region as well as from other geographies worldwide.As Senior Legal Counsel for our US and Canada market, you will:Draft, negotiate and provide legal advice with respect to engineering, construction and manufacturing agreements, product supply agreements, procurement agreements, marketing agreements, equipment lease and sale agreements and other commercial agreementsIdentify and analyze legal issues and risks, present clear recommendations for both advancement of projects and compliance with Tetra Pak policies and procedures, and assure legal compliance across the full spectrum of legal issues facing the companyManage litigation matters, including management of outside counsel for adherence to scope and budgetParticipate in ideation and implementation of innovative projects, providing issue-spotting and advice on potential legal concernsSupport labor and employment related activities, including support for two unionized manufacturing facilitiesAct as the corporate secretary for the US Tetra Pak entities, manage necessary actions and prepare related documents for discussion with Boards of DirectorsWe believe you haveTen or more years of relevant legal experience, preferably gained in relation to the manufacturing or construction sectorLegal experience in a corporate environment, Food and Beverage or in the Consumer-Packaged Goods industry is a plus)Juris Doctorate Degree or L.L.M from an accredited U.S. law school is requiredLicense to practice law and admission to (and current good standing with) the bar of at least one state is required, and ability to gain entrance to the bar of Texas within 1 year is strongly preferredExcellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skillsStrong leadership and team management skillsCommercial litigation experience is preferredAntitrust and bankruptcy knowledge is a plusWe Offer YouA variety of exciting challenges with ample opportunities for development and training in a truly global landscapeA culture that pioneers a spirit of innovation where our industry experts drive visible resultsAn equal opportunity employment experience that values diversity and inclusionMarket competitive compensation and benefits with flexible working arrangementsApply NowIf you are inspired to be part of our promise to protect what’s good; for food, people, and the planet, apply through our careers page at . This job posting expires on August 24, 2026.Diversity, equity, and inclusion is an everyday part of how we work.
