What to Expect

This role involves designing and developing innovative mechanical components for Tesla's vehicle platforms as part of the Vehicle Development Team. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet performance, safety, and manufacturability standards while pushing the boundaries of engineering excellence.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop mechanical systems and components for vehicle platforms
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate designs into overall vehicle architecture
• Create detailed engineering drawings and specifications for manufacturing
• Conduct testing and validation to ensure design performance and reliability
• Iterate on designs based on feedback from testing and production teams
• Contribute to innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges
• Support the transition of designs from concept to production

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience
• Evidence of exceptional ability in engineering or related fields
• Design engineering experience with interest in multidisciplinary engineering
• Hands-on experience in building or prototyping physical systems
• Proficiency in hand-sketching as a form of engineering communication
• Automotive engineering experience with seating systems preferred but not required

Expected Compensation $91,600 - $234,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
