JOB TITLE: Associate Registrar

REPORTS TO: Registrar

POSITION SUMMARY: Assist the Registrar in overseeing the daily operations of the Registrar's office. The Associate Registrar works on multiple points in a student's journey, ranging from posting transfer credit to posting their degree. This position is responsible for enrollment reporting and all degree audit changes for matriculated students. This person also manages communication between the Registrar's office and various stakeholders, including students, staff, faculty, and alumni.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's degree required
• 2-4 years of experience in a Registrar's office
• Knowledge of academic programs and requirements
• Knowledge of laws related to student privacy
• Preferred experience in degree audit tools

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist the Registrar in the day-to-day operations of the office
• Manage forms related to degree audit and requested program changes
• Evaluate and Post MTA Stamps
• Communicate with students, staff, and faculty through email
• Reply to all Subpoenas
• Run weekly database processes
• Manage annual Commencement Preparation
• Participate in commencement ceremonies, crimson days, and faculty seminars
• Audit and Post Degrees
• Submit enrollment and degree reports to the National Student Clearinghouse
• Serve as the National Student Clearinghouse Liaison
• Manage academic content in the student portal, faculty portal, Google Team Drives, and on the Registrar webpage
• Evaluate and post official transfer and non-traditional credit to Rochester Christian University transcripts
• Assist the Transfer and Academic Services Specialist with transfer tasks and checking evaluations
• Other duties as assigned in accordance with departmental needs.

SUPERVISORY DUTIES:

• Supervise the assistant registrars, transfer and academic services specialist, and student workers

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Experience working with CAMS Enterprise or a similar student management system
• Highly dedicated to service excellence for students, faculty, and staff
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with University constituents.
• Exceptional problem-solving, administrative, analytical, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive documents.
• The ability to prioritize work effectively and manage time efficiently.
• An understanding of institutional structure in an educational environment.
• Flexibility to learn new methodologies, technologies, and systems.
• Ability to network with members of Rochester Christian University and outside partners
• Ability to collaborate effectively with campus departments, faculty, parents, and students
