Senior/Associate Environmental Scientist, Engineer, or Technologist

As an Senior/Associate Environmental Scientist, Engineer, Geologist, or Technologist, in our Calgary or Alberta office, you'll be responsible for assisting multiple projects where you will have increasing interaction with our multi-disciplinary staff, regulatory agencies and clients. You will be part of a strong team of committed professionals.

The compensation range for this role is $120,000 to $185,000, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.

• Support the management of site assessment and remediation project scopes, timelines, budgets, and communication with clients and project related stakeholders
• Prepare and/or review technical correspondence, proposals, work plans, cost estimates, and reports

Your Expertise and Skills

These requirements reflect the knowledge, skills and abilities that help you do your best work here:

• Technical diploma or degree in environmental science, geology, engineering, or a related field
• A minimum of fifteen (15) years previous experience in a directly related role including experience managing and executing various site assessment and remediation projects
• Experience and assertiveness in driving scope, schedule and budget for a portfolio of complex projects
• Familiarity with preparing and reviewing technical reports, work plans, and cost estimates
• Experience with soil logging, sample collection, field screening, and sample selection
• Willingness to provide technical direction and active mentorship to junior professionals and project managers
• A member in good standing of a professional organization (e.g. AIA, ASET, APEGA) with a minimum of three (3) years experience reviewing and stamping technical reports
• Experience with various in-situ, ex-situ or thermal remediation technologies is an asset
• Experience with reviewing Phase 1 ESAs (commercial and/or oil and gas) is an asset
• Experience with the Alberta Energy Regulator's OneStop tool and working knowledge of provincial regulatory frameworks in Western Canada is also an asset
• A valid and clean class 5 driver's license with no restrictions
