Senior Indirect Tax Manager

We have been engaged by the VP of Tax of a large distribution and manufacturing company to help identify a key member of their tax department. This Senior Indirect Tax Manager will oversee a group of indirect tax professionals responsible for compliance, research and planning and audit management. This is a great opportunity to let your team building and mentoring skills shine. What You'll Do Build and mentor a team of tax professionals handling complex compliance and advisory work Own indirect tax strategy—from process design to technical problem-solving Drive automation, control improvements, and operational scalability Partner with Finance and IT to modernize systems and workflows Lead defensible tax positions through risk identification, research, and documentation What We Need 8+ years indirect tax experience (progressive roles) 3–5 years leading teams Deep knowledge of tax engines, ERP systems, and data automation (Vertex, SAP, Alteryx, Power BI, etc.) SOX and tax research platform experience a plus Why This Matters This is a leader role, not a coordinator role.
