Bio-Techne, and all of its brands, provides tools for researchers to further treat and prevent disease worldwide.**Pay Range:$91,700.00 - $150,800.00**Position Summary:**The Manager of Accounting is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting data, maintaining internal controls, and supporting strategic financial decisions. This role manages accounting staff, monitors financial processes, and ensures compliance with applicable regulations and standards.**Key Responsibilities:****Financial Reporting & Close Process*** Manage and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for site* Prepare and review trial balance* Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reporting* Coordinate with Finance to analyze variances and provide insights to leadership**General Accounting*** Oversee general ledger activities and account reconciliations* Review journal entries for accuracy and compliance* Ensure proper accounting of revenue, expenses, and accruals* Coordinate with Corporate functions to ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency**Compliance & Controls*** Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures* Ensure compliance with SOX/GAAP and company policies* Work with Corporate Accounting to support internal and external audits* Ensure adherence to local tax and regulatory requirements**Team Leadership*** Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff* Assign tasks, set goals, and evaluate performance* Promote continuous improvement and professional growth within the team* Be an active member of the site leadership team**Process Improvement*** Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and systems* Implement automation and best practices to increase efficiency* Support ERP or financial system upgrades and implementationsQualifications:**Education and Experience:*** Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)* 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience* Experience in a supervisory or management role* Experience in a manufacturing environment utilizing standard costing**Skills & Competencies*** Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls* Effective analytical and problem-solving skills* Strong leadership and team management abilities* High attention to detail and accuracy* Effective communication and interpersonal skills* Proficiency in accounting systems and ERP software (e.g., Oracle, NetSuite, D365, QAD)* Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, analysis)**Working Conditions*** Typically office-based or hybrid work environment* May require moderately extended hours during quarter-end and year-end **Why Join Bio-Techne:*** ### We offer competitive insurance benefits starting on day one: medical, dental, vision, life, short-term disability, long-term disability, pet, and legal and ID shield.* ### We invest in our employees’ financial futures through 401k plans, an employee stock purchase plan (ESPP), Health Saving Account (HSA), Flexible Spending Account (FSA), and Dependent Care FSA.* ### We empower our employees develop their careers through mentorship, promotional opportunities, training and development, tuition reimbursement, internship programs, and more.* ### We offer employee resource groups, volunteer paid time off, employee events, and charity drives to build a culture of caring and belonging.* ### We offer an accrued leave policy with paid holidays, paid time off, and paid parental leave.* ### We foster a culture of empowerment and innovation, where employees feel valued and encouraged to bring their new ideas to the table. **Bio-Techne is an E-Verify Employer in the United States.** **All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.** **To protect the interests of all, Bio-Techne will not accept unsolicited resumes from any source other than a candidate application.
