Associate Child Development Teacher - Childhood Direction

Associate Child Development Teacher at Providence Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, CA. This position is Full Time and will work 40 hours a week, Day shifts. Under direct supervision, this role guides classroom activities and implements academic curriculum in accordance with licensing and NAEYC Accreditation standards. Evaluates the effectiveness of the program in a prepared environment that challenges each child to reach his/her fullest potential in each area. Required Qualifications: Coursework/Training: Required coursework 12 semester units in Early Childhood Education including core classes and infant/toddler development units. Upon hire: Candidates with less than 2 years experience must have a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or minimum of 6 college credits in early childhood education. 2 years paid or unpaid experience required for candidates without a CDA or national early childhood certification. Participation in a degree‑seeking program or internship in Childhood Education or a relevant field shall be credited as experience. Associate’s degree candidates credited 1 year experience; Bachelor’s degree candidates credited 2 years experience. Minimum 6 months experience noted. Why Join Providence?
