We learn, grow, and achieve more – in our careers and in our communities.Job Description Summary:This position has accountability for the daily operations and supervision which may include Quality Outcomes Management (Performance Improvement), Patient Safety, Accreditation (Regulatory Compliance), Peer Review, and Infection Prevention. Thus, this position is responsible for the supervision of all outcomes managers, regulatory compliance, Quality support, and Infection Prevention staff, including hiring, performance evaluation and accountability, scheduling, and disciplinary actions. Similarly, he/she is responsible for assisting the Director of Quality and Safety with the strategic direction of OhioHealth Quality and Patient Safety initiatives, integration of clinical/financial information to maintain or improve quality, development of an appropriate budgets and the daily management of those budgets. He/She provides expertise to appropriate hospital personnel regarding innovations and improvements to the processes of care resulting in improvements in clinical quality and patient safety, and meeting or exceeding regulatory requirements throughout the organization. He/She consults/provides education to physicians and other appropriate departments regarding clinical quality improvement.Responsibilities And Duties:50%Provides Direct Supervision of Quality Outcomes Management Performance Improvement t , Patient Safety, Accreditation Regulatory Compliance e , Peer Review, and Infection Prevention 1. Establishes and maintains efficient and productive work schedules and assignments. 2. Hires, in concert with the Director, all staff in pertinent areas. 3. Conducts performance evaluations for all pertinent staff. 4. Addresses any performance issues with assigned staff.30%Proactively manages those campus services which facilitate improvements in patient safety and the quality of the health care delivered 1. Provides education/updates on proven advances in clinical management of specific patient populations, coordination of efforts to improve clinical safety and quality, and effects appropriate changes in the processes of care resulting in demonstrable improvements in safety and quality. 2. Develops and implements strategies for efficient and effective improvements in targeted clinical care processes in response to such quality improvement activities as Root Cause Analyses, Failure Modes and Effects Analyses, Common Cause Analyses, etc. . 3. Acts as liaison with appropriate hospital departments to increase quality and safety in management of specific patient populations positioning the organization to be among the top quality performance decile among similar health care organizations. 4. Assures the efficient operation of the stated primary areas of operational responsibility20%Develops and implements effective strategies to meet or exceed the expectations regulators and accreditors of the hospital 1. Promotes innovations leading to best practices. 2. Develops and promotes customer satisfaction through assessment and process improvement activities. 3. Current license in the State of Ohio or national Certification in your professional association. of hospital regulatory requirements, including those of the Joint Commission; problem-solving, prioritization, and negotiation skills; project management, with ability to analyze, interpret and communicate clinical/financial data.
