Position Summary We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Sr. Manager Sourcing, Corporate Services. In this role, the successful candidate as the Senior Manager Sourcing, Corporate Services is responsible for managing a team of approx. 5 Sourcing professionals to develop/enhance contract and supplier management strategies. He/She will be accountable to identify savings and process improvements for non‑clinical Corp Services spend in the categories assigned to their team. The Sr. Manager is also a key team member across Sourcing Leaders within Supply Chain who will drive overall process, policy and team initiatives that improve overall supply chain performance. The Sr. Manager will bring category expertise including but not limited to data‑driven analysis for total cost value, expertise in RFP/Sourcing strategies, knowledge of key players/marketplace and drive effective negotiation strategies on pricing and commercial terms. The Sr. Manager is a proven team leader who has experience recruiting, on‑boarding and engaging the team. He/She provides clear direction to help drive accountability and results. The Senior Manager must be able to partner with end user leadership to review spend, identify new needs and opportunities. This role must be able to present strategies with clear rationale and recommendations to allow stakeholders to make effective decisions. In the interim, the Senior Manager will report into the CPO, Supply Chain but eventually will report to a Director of Sourcing Corp Services. Job Responsibilities Stakeholder partnership – able to build and maintain collaborative relationships with end users to ensure sourcing strategies support departmental goals and optimize spend Savings and Opportunities – will identify and initiate savings initiatives; view spend across Total Value chain and brings end users onboard to collaborate on initiatives Vendor Management – adept at optimizing vendor relationships; pro‑actively seeks out win‑win opportunities and ensure that contracts are compliant and favorable to NYULH Provide direction and Manages team Performance – Provide clear direction and relevant background info to team to empower team performance and growth; accepts and provides timely feedback to ensure team alignment to expectations Drive accountability – Instills a sense of urgency for supporting end users; take proactive action to address any issues Process and systems improvements – Able to identify process improvement or process corrections to address root cause issues. Able to convene and lead cross‑functional groups to collaborate on process improvements that go beyond Supply Chain Contract review & negotiations – experienced in contract review and drive contract negotiations with the support of Contract Management and Legal Establish KPIs & monitor progress – identify key performance metrics and monitors performance in his team; able to provide updates to teams and senior management; effectively communicating the right level of information and detail Other assigned projects as required Additional Position Specific Responsibilities Exhibits excellent judgement willing to make recommendations and provide rationale; knows when to elevate issues Organizationally astute & Resilient exhibits tact and reads the room well; remains composed during stressful situations and able to keep team calm and focused Critical thinking able to digest complex information or approach new concepts/categories and simplify to critical components; resourceful to find and build own knowledge base when needed Integrity and ethics transparent and always act with integrity; models the highest level of ethics for team and Minimum Qualifications To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree in a related field. Minimum of Eight (8) years strategic sourcing responsibilities, with 2 of those years being in a Management Role. Proficient in business applications (e.g. Microsoft office suite), and familiarity with ERP systems and procurement/contract systems. Knowledge of procurement/sourcing process Preferred Qualifications Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a plus Desired Skills Sets: Organizational Savvy; Excellent written and verbal communication; Excellent presentation skills; Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $117,107.95 - $172,672.50 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education and hospital need.
