Communications Specialist

Community Engagement Specialist | Leading Energy & Utilities Company We're looking for a Community Engagement Specialist to support a leading energy company's Clean Energy Solutions residential portfolio . This is an exciting opportunity for a customer-focused professional with experience in community outreach, public relations, marketing, or corporate communications to drive awareness and participation in energy efficiency programs across New Jersey. What You'll Do: Serve as an ambassador for residential energy efficiency programs, promoting enrollment and customer engagement. Represent the organization at community events, networking opportunities, customer meetings, and public functions. Build relationships with residents, community organizations, employee groups, and other key stakeholders. Develop and deliver presentations, educational materials, targeted communications, and promotional messaging. Collaborate with marketing, business development, sales, customer outreach, and corporate communications teams. Proactively identify opportunities to expand program awareness through creative outreach and engagement strategies. Act as a primary point of contact for residential customers, responding to inquiries and generating program interest. Support event planning, logistics, stakeholder engagement efforts, and special projects as assigned. What You Bring: Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field. 3+ years of professional experience in community outreach, corporate advocacy, customer engagement, public relations, communications, or marketing. Experience representing a company, organization, or business interests with external audiences and stakeholders. Strong presentation, written communication, and relationship-building skills. Ability to develop educational content, promotional materials, and customer-facing communications. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with event support, community engagement, brand ambassadorship, or stakeholder management. Comfortable networking, cold calling, public speaking, and representing company interests at customer-facing events. Interest in sustainability, renewable energy, energy efficiency programs, or customer incentive programs is a plus. Ability to travel throughout Northern and Southern New Jersey as needed and work onsite a minimum of three days per week.
