The environment is designed to be welcoming, supportive, and goal-oriented, reflecting the practice motto: “Specialized Care, Outstanding Results.” Role Description The Physical Therapist PRN will provide evidence-based evaluation and treatment of patients with a wide range of orthopedic and sports-related conditions in an outpatient setting. This is a part time on-site role in Wilmington, NC and the candidate will be tasked with covering vacation for staff therapists as well as additional hours when clinic census requires additional staffing. Weekly hours will vary and this position is perfect for a clinician who seeks flexibility. The role involves performing comprehensive assessments, developing individualized plans of care, and implementing interventions including (but not limited to) MDT-based treatment, therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and patient education. Daily responsibilities include documenting visits in a timely and accurate manner, monitoring patient progress, and modifying treatment plans as needed to meet functional goals. The Physical Therapist PRN will collaborate closely with clinic staff, communicate clearly with referring providers, and help ensure a safe, positive, and engaging experience for all patients. Qualifications Strong foundation in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, with demonstrated ability to evaluate and treat orthopedic and sports-related conditions. Commitment to high-quality Patient Care, including education, communication, and collaborative goal setting with individuals of diverse backgrounds. Understanding of principles relevant to outpatient orthopedic practice and safe, evidence-based clinical decision-making. Ability to coordinate care and provide guidance for home exercises and self-management strategies to support long-term outcomes. Current Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited program. Active or eligible Physical Therapist license in the state of North Carolina (or ability to obtain prior to start date). Experience or strong interest in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT/McKenzie Method); MDT certification or coursework is a plus, but not a requirement. Excellent interpersonal skills, professional communication, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Ability to manage a variable caseload and prioritize tasks.
