This facility in Central New York provides comprehensive gastroenterology services with established protocols for both inpatient and outpatient care. The facility maintains modern equipment and anesthesiologist support for endoscopic procedures under conscious sedation. The hospital operates with dedicated gastroenterology coverage and seeks locum tenens support starting June 29th for ongoing coverage.

This region of New York offers diverse recreational opportunities including outdoor activities, cultural attractions, and year-round entertainment options. The area features museums, parks, and seasonal festivals that provide variety for residents and visitors throughout the year.

The gastroenterologist will provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology services managing 15 clinic patients daily and performing 10 endoscopic procedures under conscious sedation on scoping days. The clinician will work Monday through Friday from 8AM to 5PM in the clinic setting and provide inpatient coverage during call weeks with weeknight and weekend call responsibilities occurring 1 week per month. The position requires anesthesiologist support for procedures and involves managing general gastroenterology cases with no rounding, consults, or ED coverage except during call periods.
