RN - ICU

Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive care in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting. This position requires floating between multiple campuses and offers a rotating schedule.

Job Details

• Location: San Francisco, CA
• Shift: 3x12-hour rotation (Day/Night) - 0700-1930 / 1900-0730
• Weekends: Required rotation
• Floating: Required between three ICU campuses and associated step-down units

Requirements

• California RN License
• BLS certification (AHA)
• ACLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in an ICU setting
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Travel experience is required

Skills and Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and be responsible for:

• Managing and caring for ventilated patients
• Administering medications, including IV paralytics and sedation
• Monitoring and maintaining central lines, arterial lines, and other access devices
• Performing and assisting with a variety of ICU procedures (e.g., chest tube insertion, EVD management)
• Management of patients with acute and chronic renal failure
• Utilizing advanced monitoring systems and interpreting ABGs and dysrhythmias
• Participating in telemetry monitoring and high-risk patient care protocols
• Providing emergency care and interventions as necessary

Unit Information

Candidates must be adaptable and ready to float to various campuses as required. This includes responsibility in the case of emergencies or fluctuating patient needs.

Additional Information

• Mandatory laboratory tests to be completed within 3-5 days of contract signing.
• 7-Year work history verification is required.
• Modules on orientation may be required and will vary by specialty.
