A-Line Staffing is now hiring Patient Services Specialists in Pittsburgh, PA. This is an entry-level opportunity with a specialty pharmacy, offering hands-on experience in patient services, insurance benefits, prior authorization support, and financial assistance coordination.

• Job Title: Patient Services Specialist
• Location: 120 Enterprise Dr., Pittsburgh, PA 15275
• Schedule: 40 hours per week, onsite, mon-fri
• Hours: Varying schedules between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM
• Pay Rate: $16.73 per hour
• Start Date: November 16, 2026

Job Responsibilities

The Patient Services Specialist supports patients throughout their specialty medication access and financial assistance journey. This role involves communication with patients, healthcare providers, insurance companies, and financial assistance program representatives.

• Handle inbound and outbound calls with patients, prescriber offices, insurance companies, and third-party providers.
• Assist patients with questions regarding medical and pharmacy insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility.
• Support benefits investigations to determine patient coverage and potential financial responsibility.
• Assist with prior authorization requests by initiating, reviewing, submitting, tracking, and following up on documentation.
• Support appeals and medical tier exception requests as needed.
• Investigate and resolve insurance claim rejections by coordinating follow-up with patients, providers, and payors.
• Help patients enroll in manufacturer-sponsored assistance programs and other financial support resources.
• Maintain accurate patient records, documentation, and authorization status updates.
• Coordinate with healthcare providers, insurance representatives, and program sponsors to facilitate timely processing.
• Deliver professional, courteous, and compassionate customer service while protecting patient information.

• Ability to complete background screening and a required drug screen promptly.
