Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience operating asphalt paving equipment on highway or large-scale projects
• Must have reliable transportation
• Proven ability to operate pavers, rollers, and associated equipment safely and efficiently
• Strong knowledge of asphalt paving techniques, mat thickness, compaction, and quality control

Responsibilities

• Operate asphalt paving equipment to place, level, and finish pavement according to project specifications
• Monitor asphalt placement, mat thickness, and compaction to maintain high-quality results
• Coordinate effectively with rollers, screed operators, and lutemen to optimize production efficiency
• Perform daily equipment inspections, preventive maintenance, and minor troubleshooting
• Adhere strictly to highway safety regulations, traffic control plans, and job site protocols
