Lead Technical Program Manager – Disney Entertainment & ESPN Product & Technology Job Summary: Staff-level Technical Program Manager within the DE&E Product & Technology Business Operations – Technical Program Management organization. Focus on planning and execution of program deliverables within the Advertising alliance and cross‑department initiatives. Requires high proactivity, detail orientation, and the ability to work autonomously on multiple assignments. Responsibilities and Duties Drive execution and delivery of software development deliverables from start to finish. Define, optimize, and manage Agile project management ceremonies and processes for large project teams. Lead teams through risk identification, resolution, and escalation to management. Facilitate team ceremonies, workshops, and meetings to achieve actionable outcomes and ensure group participation. Identify dependencies, resolve gaps, and create program milestones to sequence work across teams. Manage risks, communicate mitigation plans, and adjust programs in response to unplanned changes to meet business goals. Monitor and report on team metrics around delivery. Provide frequent, transparent communication to business and technical senior management, delivery teams, and stakeholders regarding initiative health, issues, and risks. Demonstrate technical project/program domain proficiency and communicate technical risks without engineering support. Analyze and facilitate decisions around technical challenges and influence stakeholders toward optimal solutions. Effectively communicate complex information to both technical and non‑technical audiences, including executives. Required Education, Experience and Skills 7+ years of relevant experience. Proven facilitation of effective communication across disparate teams. Evidence of strong planning, delivery, and problem‑solving skills. Superior written and verbal communication, presentation, and meeting facilitation skills (especially with senior leadership). Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of progressively complex experience as a Scrum Lead or in Agile/Scrum software development. 5+ years managing formal application software development projects. Formal project management certifications. Technical Experience Experience working in a media technology environment. Advertising technology domain knowledge or demonstrated aptitude for learning a technology‑based engineering domain. Required Education BA/BS or equivalent experience. Compensation Hiring range for Glendale and Santa Monica, CA: $155,700 – $208,700 per year. Base pay will be determined by internal equity and candidate factors.
