Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients across varying age groups using both standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment strategies that focus on both immediate objectives and enduring communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver individual speech therapy sessions targeting areas such as language, fluency, voice, and swallowing issues.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians, to ensure a unified care approach.
• Educate patients and their families to encourage progress outside of clinical sessions.
• Provide speech therapy evaluations and treatments for occasional inpatient cases to maintain seamless continuity in care.
• Ensure documentation is accurate and up-to-date, in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Enhance your skills and knowledge through continuing education opportunities and teamwork.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of onboarding.
