Finance Analyst

Position Summary Headquartered in Englewood Cliffs, N.J., Samsung Electronics America, Inc. (SEA) seeks a finance professional to support SEA CE SVC financial reporting and analysis. The role involves managing budgetary expenses, overseeing month‑end closing, forecasting, regulatory compliance, and providing detailed reports to senior management. Role and Responsibilities Prepare and perform month‑end closing, financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking to help senior management make well‑informed decisions. Prepare monthly profit and loss data for the CE service division and consolidate SEA service P&L data for CSD monthly leadership meetings. Manage expense postings and accruals based on accounting rules and principles. Assist in analyzing actual operating results at month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end; compare to forecasted plans and present findings to senior manager. Consolidate recurring and project expenditures for each division to prepare annual management plans for the following year based on historical data, forecasting, and HQ guidelines. Prepare various financial reports to ensure spending is managed within company policy, management plans, and annual budgets. Communicate with PICs and project owners to identify causes of expenditure changes and respond to inquiries from senior management and HQ. Assist with finance‑related inquiries and establish guidelines and policies for the CE SVC division regarding budget, expense, travel, and related matters. Prepare monthly performance reports with reconciled HQ data and submit to NAHQ. Manage A/R open items by submitting claims to different Samsung subsidiaries and re‑classifying as needed. Make manual journal entries for G/L allocation monthly and for budget adjustments across responsible cost centers and G/L. Review and set up approval paths in compliance with CE SVC guidelines. Publish official letters to the CE service division announcing regulations, compliance updates, and guidelines. Skills & Qualifications 3–7 years of professional experience in accounting or finance. Master’s degree in accounting. Advanced Excel skills; heavy use of Excel in this role. Experience with SAP. Database extraction and analysis experience. Enthusiastic and eager to learn and grow with the team.
