Emergency Veterinarian Lead - West Springfield, MA (Brand New 2nd Facility)

Job Description Are you an experienced leader in Emergency Veterinary Medicine who is passionate about building out a new team in a brand-new hospital? We are looking for an Emergency Veterinarian Lead to create and nurture a world class practice in our state‑of‑the‑art facility. About the Role The Emergency Veterinarian Lead is responsible for day‑to‑day workflow, including ER doctor scheduling, recruiting, hiring, onboarding and training; facilitating regular department meetings; and providing mentorship and oversight to doctors and support staff. In collaboration with the Medical Director and Hospital Director, the ER DVM Lead strives to maintain a positive attitude, healthy work habits, and strong collaborative relationships within the department and with external services and rDVMs. About the New Hospital Our brand‑new 12,000 square‑foot facility will feature a helical CT, fluoroscopy, endoscopy, ultrasound, digital radiography, ICU, in‑house lab, full blood services, and much more. Exotics Department We have recently added Dr. Jordan Adair, DABVP, to our team and are developing an exotics department. This expansion adds exotic animal caseloads to the ER. The ER team will have opportunities to work with exotic animals and to train and teach if desired. If you prefer to focus solely on canine/feline medicine, support is also available.
