Plasma Center Nurse- LPN

Job Description Plasma Center Nurse / Medical Support Specialist at BioLife Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd. Responsibilities Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent management, AIDS education, confidential self‑exclusion, medical history interview, and acceptance requirements. Conduct physical examinations, blood testing, and review Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE) results. Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, including development of Center Physician standing orders and referral to emergency care when necessary. Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on donor safety, medical or technical issues, and unacceptable findings. Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents and determine further evaluation requirements in occupational health or emergency response. Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized and support investigations related to pandemic threats within the local community. Qualifications High school diploma or graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements. Licensed or currently certified LPN or LVN in the state of assignment. Current CPR and AED certification. Fulfilled state requirements for basic IV therapy. Completed FDA‑approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. At least two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
