This pivotal role allows you to work remotely while contributing to our outpatient services, aiming to provide essential mental health support to children and adolescents in Augusta, Georgia.

Work Environment\n

This position offers a full-time, predominantly remote work setting, allowing you to balance professional responsibilities with personal needs. Team collaboration occurs via virtual platforms, ensuring seamless communication and support. While your main duties will be conducted online, access to our outpatient office in Augusta is available should face-to-face interactions be necessary. Our standard working schedule is Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts as needed based on patient requirements.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the unique needs of children and adolescents, leveraging standardized assessment tools and methodologies.

• Collaborate with caregivers to formulate individualized treatment plans, integrating the child’s developmental stage and family context.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, play therapy, and family therapy, to effectively address diverse mental health issues.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at equipping parents and caregivers with strategies to foster supportive family environments.

• Work side by side with child psychiatrists and other health professionals to ensure a cohesive treatment strategy that aligns with holistic care principles.

• Offer crisis intervention support during mental health emergencies, effectively managing both immediate needs and follow-up care.

• Educate children and their families about mental health disorders, available treatment options, and local community resources for ongoing support.

• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Actively engage in team meetings for case consultations and professional development, promoting best practices within our therapeutic community.

• Keep abreast of current research and advancements in the field of child and adolescent mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role predominantly focuses on children and adolescents facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders. By collaborating with families and caregivers, you will help guide young individuals towards mental wellness and resilience, ensuring they receive compassionate and effective care.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT within the state of Georgia.

• In-depth knowledge of child and adolescent mental health issues, along with familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Experience providing individual and family therapy to youth, along with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Compassionate, child-centered approach with the ability to build trust and rapport with patients and their families.

• Competence in electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard computer software applications.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range between $80,000 and $105,000 annually, supplemented by performance-based bonuses. In addition, new hires will receive a sign-on bonus, enhancing the initial transition into our team.
