Switchboard OperatorIn this position, the Switchboard Operator provides processing of all inbound calls from the public at large and internal users, providing general information and caller connecting support through use of the telephone system.Part-time, 30 hours/week. Grave shift. 9 p.m. - 7 a.m. Tuesday - Thursday. No on call or weekend requirements.Switchboard ResponsibilitiesAnswers incoming switchboard calls in the order they're received.Assists caller: answers questions, gives directions, transfers call or pages.Answers the hospital emergency line, monitors Nurse Call and dispatches all emergencies.Monitors and dispatches hospital facilities alarms.Performs Resource Specialist duties (after-hours answering and contacting on-call providers, after-hours triage, after-hours medical records requests, after-hours appointment scheduling).Minimum RequirementsHigh School diploma or equivalent.Ability to type 40 wpmAbility to communicate effectively and diplomatically within a multi-functional teamStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to successfully function in a fast paced, service oriented environment with minimal face-to-face interaction.Experience in understanding and usage of computers as well as the ability to learn applications relevant to the positionPhysical DemandsSedentary-Primarily sitting/lifting 10 lbs maximumLocation: Intermountain Health St Vincent Regional HospitalWork City: BillingsWork State: MontanaScheduled Weekly Hours: 30The hourly range for this position is listed below.
