Job Title:  Press Machine Operator
Job Type:  Temp to Hire
Shift: Monday - Friday (6am - 4pm)
Pay Rate: $18.00 - $21.00
Location:  San Antonio, TX (Northside)

We are seeking an experienced  Press Machine Operator to operate, set up, and monitor flexographic printing equipment to produce high-quality printed materials that meet customer specifications and company quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate production, quality, scrap, and downtime records
• Change rolls, plates, inks, and other production materials as required
• Mix, load, and monitor inks to achieve the required color, coverage, and print quality
• Monitor equipment performance and troubleshoot basic mechanical and operational problems
• Perform routine quality checks and make necessary adjustments to correct print or production issues

• Follow all company safety procedures, PPE requirements, operating instructions, and production standards
• Safely and efficiently operate and monitor flexographic printing press equipment during production runs
• Adjust registration, pressure, speed, tension, and other press settings as needed to maintain consistent production quality
• Set up and prepare the press for production, including loading materials, installing plates, and adjusting machine settings
• Communicate equipment issues, production concerns, and quality problems to supervisors and maintenance personnel
• Inspect printed materials throughout the production run to identify defects and ensure consistency with customer specifications
• Perform basic preventative maintenance and keep the press and surrounding equipment clean and in good working condition

Qualifications

• Basic math, measurement, and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance and basic machine troubleshooting
• Previous experience operating a flexographic printing press is strongly preferred
• Experience using calipers, micrometers, or other precision measurement tools is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing consistent, high-quality work
• Ability to read and follow production specifications, work orders, and written instructions
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and troubleshoot basic equipment issues
• 4+ years of hands-on machine operation experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Ability to work independently while also communicating effectively with supervisors, maintenance, and other team members
