Job Opportunity – Level III/IV NICU RN – Texas

Start Date: October 2026

Location: West Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 13-week contract (longer assignments available), self-scheduling with block schedule format, 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period, 12-hour shifts, nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2-4, no on-call required. Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays during assignment period.

• 181-bed pediatric specialty hospital with Level II Pediatric Trauma Center designation
• 43-bed Level IV NICU with daily census of approximately 35 neonates
• Epic charting system with 12-hour orientation provided
• Comprehensive case mix including prematurity, respiratory distress, surgical subspecialties (excluding cardiac), HIE, sepsis, and hypoglycemia
• Flexible self-scheduling model with variable weekend coverage
• Opportunity to float to Pediatrics, PICU, and Pediatric ED as needed

Requirements

• Active RN license (Compact license accepted and must be in hand at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required
• Level III NICU experience strongly preferred (facility operates as Level IV)
• Current BLS and NRP certifications
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with patient ratios of 1:2-4
• Proficiency in advanced NICU skills including high-frequency ventilation, nitric oxide administration, therapeutic hypothermia, UAC/UVC management, oscillators, central line care, and administration of vasopressors
• Two professional references covering at least 1 year within the past 3 years
• Willingness to float between affiliated units and facilities as needed
