Certified Surg Tech - Travel Job

Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to expertly assist physicians and nurses in the operating room during surgical procedures, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients by preparing the operating room, sterilizing equipment, and providing support to the surgical team.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current certification from a program accredited by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
• BLS Certification
• 2 years' experience as a certified OR tech / Surg Tech in a surgical environment
• For CVOR positions, 2 years' experience as a certified CVOR technologist in a cardiac surgical environment
• Certified Surgical First Assist (CSFA) from one of the following: National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA), American Board of Surgical Assistants (ABSA), or National Commission for the Certification of Surgical Assistants (NCCSA)
• Highly experienced and capable of independently performing suturing, knot tying, and deep closure
• Experience with orthopedic procedures including fractures, anterior hips, total knees, posterior hips, ortho spine, hand, bone and soft tissue sarcomas, foot and ankle, total shoulders, and arthroscopy
• Experience with equipment and positioning devices including Hana Table, Jackson Table, Beach Chair, Stulberg Hip, Spider Arm, Hip Grip, Trimano, Arthrex Shoulder Traction, Peg Board, Arm Boards, and Acufex Leg Holder
• Experience with Velys Robot and splinting

Assignment Details:

• Shift hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm
• Shift days: Monday - Friday
• On call required with a 30-minute response time
• For ortho coverage, 1 call day each week Monday - Friday, with end of shift call until 7:00am
• Weekend call required approximately 1 weekend every 5 weeks based on staffing
• Cross trained to General Main OR specialty regardless of hiring position
• Cross trained to Urology Center
