Job Title

PCU / Surgical Stepdown - Registered Nurse (Travel)

Location

Shawnee Mission, KS

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | Onsite | Every Third Weekend Required (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care / Surgical Stepdown unit during night shift hours
• Monitor and assess patients requiring intermediate-level care between ICU and general medical-surgical floors
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Float to other units within the facility as needed based on staffing and patient census
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Kansas or a Compact RN license
• Current BLS certification
• Experience in a PCU, IMC, or Stepdown clinical setting
• Ability to float to various units as assigned
• Availability to work every third weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in a PCU or Stepdown environment
• ACLS certification
• Familiarity with a broad range of patient populations across multiple unit types
