Adjunct Faculty, Management AY25-26

Overview Adjuncts are hired on a course basis each term. Salary Range for Adjuncts teaching in this academic area is $900.00 - $4,000.00 per course. Governors State University’s College of Business seeks to create an available pool of Adjunct Faculty candidates to teach courses in Management. The major responsibilities of an adjunct faculty member are to teach courses such as Human Resource Management, Compensation Administration, Labor Relations, Training and Development, Entrepreneurial Accounting and Finance and Organizational Behavior. Adjunct faculty should be able to support their course online and use appropriate software tools. Interested individuals are invited to complete a faculty profile, attach a curriculum vitae, cover letter, and transcripts for consideration. At Governors State University, adjunct faculty are hired as temporary faculty with teaching responsibilities for a specific course in a semester or summer session. Adjuncts are not a part of the faculty bargaining unit and are not included in membership of the Faculty Senate. Required Qualifications Master’s or higher degree in an appropriate Management specialization from a regionally accredited College of Business, or an MBA with a specialization in Management from a regionally accredited College of Business. Substantial current managerial or executive experience (more than five years) in Entrepreneurial Accounting and Finance, Human Resource Management, General Management or in a closely related field. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience teaching Human Resource Management, Compensation Administration, Labor Relations, Training and Development, Entrepreneurial Accounting and Finance and Organizational Behavior at the undergraduate level. Ability to teach Human Resource Management, Compensation Administration, Labor Relations, Training and Development, Entrepreneurial Accounting and Finance and Organizational Behavior. Ability to teach online using the Blackboard e-Learning platform. Certifications appropriate to the specific field of expertise.
