Embark on a rewarding contract role as a paraprofessional, supporting young learners in a vibrant elementary school setting near Chickamauga, GA. This opportunity is ideal for individuals passionate about education and making a positive impact in the classroom. You will be working full-time (37.5 hours per week) on a medical leave placement, with an assignment beginning as soon as possible through approximately October 30th, 2026—potentially extending further based on evolving needs.
In this role, you’ll function as a class aide in a kindergarten room alongside a dedicated full-time teacher. There will be no current toileting responsibilities. Your presence will be key in helping foster a positive, nurturing environment, allowing each student to thrive.
Key Qualifications:
- Current GaPSC Certification (Georgia Professional Standards Commission)
- Previous pediatric experience (school-based settings strongly preferred)
- Commitment to supporting young children’s educational and developmental growth
- Strong teamwork, communication, and flexibility in a dynamic classroom environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher with classroom management and instructional activities
- Provide individual or group support to students as directed
- Help maintain a safe, organized, and engaging learning space
- Support daily routines and transitions throughout the school day
- Contribute positively to the classroom community and collaborate with educational staff
