Accountant

Accountant Position

We're looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to join our growing team!

In this role, you'll be responsible for managing financial transactions, invoicing, reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records and reporting across multiple business operations. This is a full-time remote position supporting real-time business operations during Hawaii business hours, so flexibility with scheduling is important.

Responsibilities

• Handle accounts receivable, including invoicing clients, tracking outstanding payments, and processing refunds or cancellations
• Manage accounts payable and ensure timely payments to vendors, suppliers, and business partners
• Perform bank, credit card, loan, and intercompany reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records
• Prepare financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
• Assist with tax compliance, including sales tax calculations and filings
• Monitor and track commission payments and vendor transactions
• Manage foreign currency transactions and record exchange rate gains or losses
• Oversee credit card processing and ensure transactions align with bank records
• Implement internal controls to improve financial accuracy and reduce risk
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting for financial planning
• Support accounting-related administrative or executive support tasks as needed
• Maintain organized and accurate financial records across multiple business operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Proven experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance
• Experience using HubSpot, including tracking payments, managing deals, and supporting reporting or reconciliation
• Experience in the travel, tourism, hospitality, transportation, or service industry is a plus
• Experience handling U.S.-based or international accounts is an advantage
• Proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms
• Strong understanding of reconciliations, financial reporting, and tax compliance
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive in resolving discrepancies
• Comfortable working with international teams and clients
• Ability to manage accounting operations across multiple brands or entities
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Flexible with working hours to support Hawaii business operations
• Reliable internet connection and remote work setup
