MetroEHS Pediatric Therapy is expanding our exceptional team of therapy professionals! We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow (SLP-CF) to join our growing multi-disciplinary team and help us Reveal the Super in Every Child (and therapist)!

The Detroit MetroEHS clinic is located in the historic Durfee Elementary-Middle School which was first built in 1927 and revitalized by the Life Remodeled organization (a community building organization dedicated to renewing Detroit communities and supporting students and families in holistic and sustainable ways). MetroEHS is proud to be a part of the Durfee Innovation Societys support network as a community resource for Detroit. Therapists who join the Detroit Team will find that working in this unique setting is like being a part of a warm, friendly neighborhood.

At MetroEHS we take pride in our Clinical Fellowship mentorship program and all CFs have an experienced SLP assigned as their mentor, access to our team of SLPs who have experience in all areas of the profession, and regular individual and team learning opportunities to support our CFs through their first year of practice!

For over 20 years, MetroEHS Pediatric Therapy has been a leader in providing integrated pediatric therapy services throughout Southeast Michigan. Our neighborhood therapy centers make it easy for families to access a comprehensive approach to therapy, offering Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, ABA Therapy, and Feeding/Swallowing Therapy in one center.

Your Impact

As a Speech-Language Pathologist at MetroEHS Pediatric Therapy, you will:

• Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans to improve receptive/expressive language, articulation, fluency, voice, and swallowing disorders.
• Utilize play-based and culturally responsive interventions to engage children and foster communication skills.
• Collaborate with families and caregivers, equipping them with home-based techniques for continued progress.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure well-rounded therapy approaches tailored to each child's needs.
• Maintain detailed clinical records and documentation as required.
• Participate in clinical meetings, professional development, and research opportunities.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• ASHA CCC-SLP certification (or Clinical Fellow eligibility)
• State license as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Michigan
• We do not participate with Medicare part B, therefore, we can readily accept Clinical Fellows

Physical & Environmental Requirements

• Active & Engaged Work Kneeling, bending and playing at ground level.
• Hands-On Support Lifting up to 50+ lbs may be required.
• Quick Reflexes Ability to respond to behaviors such as elopement (running away) or aggressive actions.
• Loud or Noisy Environments Working with active children in dynamic settings.
• Potential Exposure to Bodily Fluids Assisting with hygiene or accidental incidents.

Clinic Location: Detroit

Status: Full-time

Schedule: MondayFriday, typically 9am-6pm. No nights or weekends

Compensation

• After applying, a member of our recruiting team will call to review the pay range and opportunities for additional compensation through productivity bonuses. Compensation varies based on each clinicians unique skills and experience.
• Full-time Sign-on Bonus: $2,500 (paid in two installments, with a two-year commitment)
