Corporate AccountantJoin a mission-driven organization where your skills support purposeful work and a strong, values-based team.Position Overview & General Responsibilities:We're seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Corporate Accountant to join our administrative team at Sunnyside. In this role, you'll support key accounting functions, including deferred revenue forecasting, fixed asset tracking, and financial reporting, while also providing leadership to our Accounts Payable team. You'll work closely with the Accounting Manager and CFO, helping ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial operations across all Sunnyside Corporate & its three communities.Maintain and manage deferred revenue forecast systems and reconciliationsTrack and maintain depreciation schedules using the Fixed Asset software systemOversee the Accounts Payable team and support Accounts Receivable processesProcess electronic payments and resident bank drafts for monthly billingPrepare monthly sales tax reports and assist with financial auditsServe as system backup for Accounts Payable and Receivable modulesMaintain charitable gift annuity records and process paymentsGenerate financial reports using Excel and other tools as neededAssist with special projects and support financial operations across Sunnyside's campusesMaintain confidentiality and accuracy in all aspects of financial data handlingRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or Associate's with 4+ years of relevant experience)Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to learn and manage internal systems (AP, AR, Fixed Assets, etc.)Excellent organization, prioritization, and time management skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a teamKnowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices, especially regarding entrance fees and revenue recognitionStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to travel to campuses as neededMaintain confidentiality and provide exceptional customer servicePerks & Benefits You'll Love!Paid sick, vacation & personal time401(k) with company matchMedical, dental & vision insuranceShort- and long-term disability coverageAnnual uniform reimbursement (where applicable)Tuition assistanceOn-site training and professional developmentFlexible, supportive team environmentEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Access to an on-site wellness center and healthcare servicesA scenic campus with walking trails, a dog park, and moreA workplace where your work truly makes a differenceJoin a Team That Makes You Proud – At Sunnyside, We SHINE Together!
